These
two photographs showcase the state-of-the-art studio that
Marc Elliot created and uses daily to record
his radio show for KLOU in Saint Louis, KOLL in Little
Rock and other radio stations throughout the United States.
All of the walls in the studio have been covered with acoustic
sound tiles, plus
extra insulation has been added to the walls and ceiling
to create a sound-sensitive recording environment. |

The
studio features a Prophet NexGen Digital Broadcast system and
is connected to the Clear Channel WAN via a load-sharing
router which is connected to both DSL and cable modems
for redundancy.
Only broadcast quality electronics were used in creating
the studio, such as Electro-Voice RE20 microphones and
Symetrix 528E voice-processors. The studio also
features a Telos Delta 100 for placing callers on the
air. |
